A few photos, from my review of the LA Weekly Detour Festival, deemed less-interesting than a crappy logo. Anyone want to buy a camera?

i've gotta say that all of those images are more interesting than the logo that got used. then again, none of those photos are suitable for "branding"!

[The malaise of your piece is rather shocking, though...]

Shocking in a good way, I presume.

On a side inquiry: does pitchfork actually accept writers through their email application??? I've heard stories of writers never even hearing a peep of a response....

It just seemed like the piece should've been longer. I guess it was reflective of your mood here, more or less, but you seemed so uninterested in the goings-on that it was hard to see why it was worth covering in the first place. [I can see why P4K "cares", but based on your description, maybe they shouldn't have?]

It reminded me very much of Charlotte Gainsbourg's line in The Science of Sleep when she comments that "gigs are boring."

A quick addendum: have you been inundated with Heidegger or something recently?

Can't blame Pitchfork because I pitched it. Trust me, I would've much rather had positive things to say.

And no Heidegger. Derrick Jensen's all up in my face, though. And I've watched Tati all week, so there you go.

I had just seen Science Of Sleep, as well.
